Menkov barely qualified for the final three jumps in 8th. No one has broken 8 meters so far.

I thought 8.31 was a pretty good leap for a pre WC event.

By the way where was the golden boy of Brit LJing ?... did he sit this one out for a press conference on another continent to discuss his rising stature as the best 100m man in the UK... just askn.

In addition to Menkov, Tomlinson had four fouls, bookended by 7.99 jumps.
Notice that Dwight Phillips is getting closer and closer -- to eight meters!
