NCAA Help
As I read the rule book, if you did not compete in the regionals then, regardless of your placing on the national descending order list, you can not be considered for the NCAA meet. Whats to prevent an injured athlete who will almost assuredly be an at large selection from just "walking" through their heat at the regional? Is there no more "automatic qualifier" except in the 10k and multi's? Thanks ahead.Tags: None

Re: NCAA Help
Garry, that thread makes zero mention of medical waivers, just medical scratches.
IS there such a thing as medical waivers or not? From what I've seen so far, that issue seems to be unresolved. I'd go try to find the information at the NCAA site, but I'm afraid that would be like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Re: NCAA Help
Ya magoo vam pamotch (probably butchered that, transliteration aside).
Last summer the NCAA extended the honest effort rule to bar "walking" through the Regionals. Doesn't solve everything. Given that this is a judgment call, there will always be performances that make you wonder.
