Just confirmed that the channel is there and apparently, you have to call Verizon to subscribe. It is probably part of their premium sports package tier.
Thanks Jamboy. I just checked my Fios and ordered the channel. I wouldnt have even known it was there. Unfortunately there timing sucks I have already missed an olympic season and a world championship season and now all that is on is cycling. Hopefully they have decent coverage of the indoor season.
BTW does anyone know if they will replay track events during the fall? I didnt get the luxury of watching any diamond league as a complete package(mostly as individual events on youtube) and it would be great to watch them.
Are we talking about "Universal" in HD or "Universal Sports" in either standard of HD? I did have "Universal" in HD in the DC Area market, but I no longer have "Universal Sports" period.

In the past, after the track season ends, Universal Sports sometimes replay a DL meet or two. In 2012, in the fall, they had a "recap" show of the London Olympics.
Don't expect any significant track and field until the 2014 DL season begins in May of next year.
The chanel is not yet available in my FIOS area. However, I will only subscribe to it(being part of the sports package) only during the DL season.
The great thing about having Universal Sports TV is that they now show all the DL meets live(except the US DL meets which air live on NBC). Also, you can watch the meets live on their website/smartphone/tablet for subscribers only.

Yes. They are replaying Stockholm, Zurich and brussels this week. I am hoping they replay their 8/12 and 8/13 telecasts of the words since I don't have those on DVR.
I received an email from Cox Comm today advising it was adding Universal Sports and soliciting subscription. They did not have any T&F on their list of coming attractions..mostly cycling and soccer.

As another poster mentioned earlier, on their schedule this week, they are replaying the Zurich and Brussels DL meet.
I have ordered the channel and was able to watch Zurich and Brussels and will watch Stockholm which is coming up. I wish they would replay the World Championships since they are showing the World Cup of swimming which was over a month ago. I likely will cancel this channel in the Beginning of October until indoor track starts. Right now I think they are showing way too much cycling. Sometimes they have as much as 10-12 hours of coverage straight! I just hope they can manage to cover every track meet no matter where in the globe it is.
Universal Sports HD in now on all FIOS TV systems nationwide.
They are currently having a Free Preview for all FIOS TV customers until January 31, 2014. They may show one or two replays of track events held earlier this year.
I believe a free preview is also on a few other cable/satellite systems.
