This has been a "different" year for me.
As I near my 70th birthday (June 24, 2014), I've actually made some BIG changes in my life.
Thus, as 2014 approaches (Less than 7 hours!!!), I want to wish a....
HAPPY NEW YEAR to.....
Track and Field News---You have provided me with all I need to know about my favorite sport for more than 50 years! You're mine; I'm yours.... until I die!
Mary Cain---For making 2013 revelatory by your amazing feats, your great fun personality, and for all the inspiration you've given me all year!
All the GREAT Athletes in Track and Field--For all your records, or record attempts, for all your races and jumps and throws, and for your cartwheels, controversies, and competitive spirit!
Flotrack, Mile Split, Runner Space, and even Let's Run--For all the great videos of races and interviews, livestreams of entire meets & races, and all the necessary stats!
Google Blogger---For helping me set up my new blog, and providing a space for it! I've written 13 posts thus far (in just 3 weeks!), with many more to come!
Also to my 1 or 2 "fans"!! LOL
Twitter--Just started on Twitter on April 22nd. These past 8 months have brought me 100's of hours of information, photos, funny tweets, and some quite personal insights into elite and not-so-elite athletes!! My "faves" are Phoebe Wright and Alexi Pappas and the entire Oiselle team!!
The T&FN Message Board--Yes, we've had our Battle Royales, thrown barbs & insults to and fro, had our intellectual discussions about all things T&F, but in the end, everything considered, you were a HUGE part of my life in 2013, and hopefully, for a LONG time to come!!
And a special note to....
Garry Hill--Thanks for persuading me (even if not intentionally!) to subscribe to eTN!! I've spent many hours (with many more to come!!) looking at ALL the back issues & years since 2002! Great buy!!
