prediction: Gabe runs 7 (!) seconds faster than last week, but still is buried in the pack.

edit: I had to correct my Freudian slip: I wrote 'weak' above.

Darn -- looks like ANOTHER long night watching the internet scoreboards! I knew there was a reason I love EU meets - I get to bed by 22.00! If you are at the meet, please update us... otherwise, the results will be posted here: http://www.flashresults.com/2004_meets/outdoor/otc/

Just checked the results for the shot. I won't say more, since some might want to see the results on TV later.

Yep...no one post results in headlines prior to TV coverage... (I've been in forced hard labour for the last 5 hours and need to enjoy the rest of the afternoon!)

You guys stop griping about our European Athletics TV-coverage! Now, I will stay up until the wee hours of the night watching the CyberScoreboard.

I figured as much. After checking those results, I've decided that I won't check any more, I'd rather see the action on TV, even if tape-delayed.

Of course, I might just have to interrupt the track coverage for a couple of minutes for the Belmont Stakes...

GODDAMIT! Just logged onto IAAF and someone had posted the shot result in a thread header!

Unfortunately there is a women's basketball game on right before the track, and women's games have an incredible knack for calling usuless timeouts (I think each team gets about 50 per half in women's BB) so I expect it to run long and overun the meet by 25 percent or so.

already over time in a useless game that gets 25% of the ratings of the meet to follow.

OK, I missed by 1 second.

ESPN lied about their OTC coverage. They said it was delayed but that they would show the full hour, and they cut it short 15 minutes.

Nice improvement by Jennings. Good prediction TAFNUT. BUT - 336 is still a long ways off. He is pulling it in closer to the rest of the US field so I don't yet count him out for the trials... for 2nd or 3rd.

That is a bet I would take. He'll be nowhere close to qualifying.
