She killed that 3rd leg...she may have cemented her place on that 3rd leg.

I have to say, Anderson's carry, or better yet, changeover attempts seem to fill with drama.

Yeah some leg issue. Been nagging her all season it seems. Thought she said that she would run but probably being cautious. Better safe than sorry I guess.
I thought i jus read from the gleaner that she was ok...
Probably really wants to run at the Commonwealth games ...so just not trying to injure it

No, it seems she focused on the wrong line. The real end of the exchange zone, the yellow arrow, was 10m away.

Exactly! If she had kept running, and had faith in her teammate, she would have gotten the baton even with the American runner.

Glad to see her showing her pedigree even this season. Was worriedfor her from 2012

                              Henry-Robinson left too soon

Not really, but her hand was held so extremely high (above head level) that the incoming runner had trouble reaching up, then letting go of the baton smoothly. Also, as observed above, they had more space left than their frantic actions suggested they were thinking.
Hard to speculate on the latter, as the frantic slowdown was most likely triggered by the sense of the baton's being right there, but not quite close enough.
Simple mechanics of something that should be well-ingrained: lifting the arm, w/ straight wrist, to a certain, constant height. Unless there's been sufficient practice--to keep the baton at the proper level--the natural bent-over acceleration position could lead to over-elevation of the receiving arm. It shouldn't be that complicated, but it seems that many slung-together relay teams simply don't (even) get into such basics.
