This event has been underwhelming so far this year, so, even though it's devoid of the superstars, I'm anxious to see if
    A. Edward can break 20 (50-50 chance).
    B. LeMaitre can reinitiate his progress (I'll guess he gets a SB, but not sub-20).

So, my guess is we get something in the 20.00-20.20 range, hopefully for both. It'd be nice if someone else stepped up here too.

I agree that there are some interesting side stories but underwhelming competitors. Maybe Mitchell or Young can get in the 20.00 mix, too.

Pretty much I want to see what type of form Lemaitre's in. He said he's been working on his explosiveness, so we'll see.

I'll take Edward here in 19.9mid.

Lemaitre's 10.31 in Tokyo is worth 10.06, if you trust the conversion charts. Given Gatlin's recent form, I don't think we can immediately dismiss the Tokyo results. So Lemaitre's 100 is around where it normally is early season.

Edward ran 10.02 at Clermont in April for a PR.

So they're not too far apart in 100 speed at this point. But Edward has typically had better strength down the stretch and that is evident in their 200 SBs - 20.00 to 20.30.

Yep, spot-on. Edward beat Lemaitre around the curve and held on very well. Dwyer impressive down inside.

It appears LeMaitre might have finally figured out he's a 200m sprinter.

If LeM's finally "figured out he's a 200m sprinter", maybe he can find a way to run a touch more to the inside of his lane, as he was plenty wide coming off the turn--as the announcers also noted.

Between Diondre Batson, Mookie Salaam, Kirani James, and Alonso Edward, there is a pretty impressive group of people training in Tuscaloosa.
