I have Cranny, Ephraimson, Maxwell, Dorris, and Feeney as entrants in the Girls H.S. Mile. Has any one heard of any others?

Re: Miracle mile
So by rough ranking no (1) Cranny, (2) Ephraimson, (3) Maxwell, (4) Knights, (5) Robinson, (6) Werner, (8) Wells, (9) Collins, or (10) Paladino.
I understand Cranny. She may only have one shot at beating Ephraimson. If she wants to go to the World Juniors (if Cain goes) meeting her only at the trials makes sense. Ephraimson wanting another shot at Cain I understand. They are both closers and if she hangs on her tail who knows. (Easier written then done by a long shot) The others? Guess this isn't that big a race and the NBN beckons. Although as of Sunday they weren't entered there either.
With this weak of field they should have invited ninth grader Brianna Gess of New Jersey. She would have had the fourth fastest 1600 numbers.
Reminds me of the Dream mile of 2011 when Cami Chapus came East and all the best milers were running in the NYS Championship. Now they have the weekend right but the runners wrong.

Re: Miracle mile
Darn, I was looking forward to Cranny vs. Ephraimson. Probably better for Ephraimson to get into the open race though.
For World Juniors, I think that Ephraimson would go for the 3000 or the 5000, rather than the 1500. Probably better suited for the longer distances. I'm guessing that there is only a 50% chance of Cain even trying for the WJ champs.

Re: Miracle mile
Why did Cranny back out?
Injured?
And while Efraimson in the elite 1500 is good----she could go 4:08!---I'd much rather have seen her go against Cranny in the mile, both going hard for a sub-4:30!!
Now?
We have a blah race, with the best (Jenks??) with just a 40-60 shot at going 4:39, let alone anything faster!!

I hope that's wrong because we have already paid for World Junior Champs tickets, related housing in Eugene, and air travel tickets primarily to see Cain (with a 4:04 best 1500) in action.
On the other hand, a runner younger than Cain has recently run 1500m in 4:02.83 (Beijing, May 21) and 4:03.21 (Hengelo, June 8). That's Gudaf Tsegay, born 23 January 1997, who will remain age 17 throughout 2014.

Re: Miracle mile
Could be an exciting race as a race as none of these girls look to be significantly better than the others but for those who value the stopwatch over the finish line this is quite disappointing.
