Re: 2014 NCAA Women's Team Scores (Texas favored)

Prandini wining the LJ picks up some points for Oregon.

And this was the hard day. She now has only 1 race each day for the rest of the champs which could help pick Oregon back up...

Surprised nobody has called me on this: Spencer did NOT anchor Texas, even though that's what the official entry lists said. I wondered where she suddenly got all that speed from (twas Akinuson, which makes way more sense).

Help them back up? Prandini is doing what is expected of her.... Unless a few more team mishaps happen (Texas or Texas A&M) Oregon will finish "less than 1st."

TxA&M is looking to be the favorite to win at this point of the game.

Texas may move up a place due to Oregon's 4x100 snafu.

I hope so, but Spencer was also on the 4x100

Correct! Hopefully, Spencer injury is minor and she will be able to compete on the relays.

Start lists gave Spencer as anchor, but she didn't r un the 4x1; it was Akinosun

My mistake. I'm responding "blind" sort of, because I don't have access to watch the meet live. Is there a live stream?

Spencer's injury appears anything but minor. Meet is on ESPN3.com

A third foul on her next through for Vaughn and that could change (f, f, ?)

Time to say 'whew'; third attempt is a event leader going in to the final throws. It had the possibility of being an 19 point swing for Oregon (Bodek second vs 0, SB 0 rather than 10).

Unexpected 3rd for Laura Bobeck of Oregon in the hammer partially compensates for 4x100 disappointment.
