Great meet for the Aggies who didn't miss too many points. Oregon was too thin to lose points. The no-height killed Texas.

Thats fine with me!! If my Texas ladies can't win overall, as long as its another Texas team, I'm good. 8-)
Its over now!!! A&M got 16 points in the 200 meters!!!

    Florida has 48.
    Oregon has 40.
    Texas A&M has 38.

Of course, they're NOT going to get those MAXIMUM numbers tomorrow!!

Being a Ducks fan, here's a POSSIBLE way they win (though it would take some shocking upsets to have happen!!).

Being a Texas fan, Prandini will not win the 200. She had a better chance to win the 100, honestly...

    The team scores are now:
    UO-----43
    A&M---41
    TX & FL---29

    4X100
    A&M wins, TX 2nd & FL 3rd

    Team scores now:
    A&M----51
    UO-----43
    TX-----37
    FL-----35

    1500
McGee wins, Penney is 2nd, w/ Strauser 6th

    Team scores now:
    A&M and UO----51
    FL---------------48
    TX---------------37

    200
Prandini wins, Akinosun is 2nd, Ekpone 3rd, and K Brown is 5th.

    Team scores now:
    A&M and UO------61
    FL-----------------48
    TX-----------------45

    100H
    Owens takes 3rd, Snow 5th

    Team scores now:
    A&M and UO------61
    FL-----------------54
    TX----------------49

    5000
    Hall takes 3rd, Berge a surprise 6th

    Team scores now:
    UO-------------64
    A&M-----------61
    TX-------------55
    FL-------------54

So it comes down to the 4X400!!
TX wins, UO is 2nd, A&M is 3rd and FL is 4th.

    Final scores:

    UO-------------72
    A&M-----------67
    TX-------------65
    FL-------------59

But Hall is not a lock for the 5000; she could finish higher but she could be further back. In addition to Abbey, there is Bates, Cuffe, Scott and even Macumber and Kibet, although doubling will make it hard for Bates and others like Bottoroff. Hall's super mark is very impressive, but things can get off a bit even for very good runners, and she is 'thin' in the superb-mark category.

The 4x100 is key. A&M makes it veryhard for the others if they finish first or second.

So picking Penney for 2nd....running before the UO crowd?
    is crazy.

Okay, so I went a bit overboard.
(Duck fans are like that!! )
But the only REALLY insane scenarios are those in the 1500 & 5K, concerning Penney and Berge.

But look how many solid favorites were upset today!
Kipp in the Steeple finishes in 6th!!
    Petrillose NH's!!
    Nick Miller loses the HT!
    Nick Ross in the HJ.

So picking Penney for 2nd....running before the UO crowd?
Okay, Berge finishing anywhere near 6th would take a small miracle, but stranger things have happened at Hayward Field.

I just think the UO women aren't as out of it as some folks believe!

    I concur
Astute and articulate point. I also concur. I love rational comments, that consider athlete/ coach perspective. Thank you.
