Lashawn Merritt at Norfolk State?

While reading the interview in T&FN I saw where he's attended ECSand Norfolk St. Did he ever actually compete for Norfolk St? Anyone know?

I'd love to add him to the HBCU.

According to this news 2010 news release, he was enrolled as a student for the spring 2010 semester, (which would be after he was already a professional).

If I recall correctly, he turned pro almost immediately after running 44.9 indoors at the NCAAs in Arkansas during his freshman year

Freshman year at Eastern Carolina, not Norfolk.

Obviously, since he was a freshman in 2005 and he didn't enroll at Norfolk State until 2010

Never made it the NCAA--ran his 44.93 in Fayetteville in February (Tyson Inv.?). It was a very frustrating time for East Carolina coach Bill Carson.
