A nice victory for Makwala in 44.71. But where did Matthew Hudson-Smith come from? 19-year old improving his PB from 45.80 to 44.97!

European Junior Bronze medalist at the 200m last year. First year at 400m.

Got DQ'd from trials in B'ham couple of weeks ago.

It was a great day for Team GB.

Yes it was, if you ignore the results where the Brits were poor and unconvincing; our sprinters were indifferent, especially our wonder women; the Flag Wavers are not interested in athletics just shouting loud about very, very occasional good performances by the Brits.(Hudson smith and KJT performed well as did Sharman) A good performance from Child in her own backyard; lets see what our sprinters, male and female achieve at world level; our men and women middle distance performers at home did nowt much. I do not care that much when Brits do PBs, if they then finish well down the field, as so often at top international level.

        You're repeating yourself Jez.

        First sign of senility.

Just an experiment to see whether you get e-mail notifications on "quick replies".
