That's most likely not the reason; in Brussels this year the 100m is the battle of the US juiceheads, so no DL ban in place whatsoever.
I think Zurich, knowing the Swiss mindset, imposes some kind of ban by itself.

Otherwise, Bolt wouldn't have competed. He obviously doesn't like to be beaten and he couldn't do anything against Gatlin right now, and probably also Gay would beat him.

10.06 on a bouncy and exposed track against no competition combined with his 4x1 performance in Glasgow is a 9.8 high or 9.9 low in my book. If he actually puts an effort in that is. Especially on that new surface they put down in Letzigrund stadium.
But; glad that we don't see Gat and Gay over there. Too bad that Wilfried Meert doesn't live up to his moral standards anymore and actually invited them for Brussels.

Their policy applies if the athlete has been hit with a 2 year ban. I think for the Americans, Mike Rogers can compete, Gatlin and Gay can't if it is a non-DL race.

Bolt will run in 9.9 low without wind and 9.8 high with average tailwind.

It would be great for Bolt to run around 9.85 with 1.0 wind there in his unique serious race in the season.

The whole who-can-run-where situation is kinda complicated. Zürich won't invite any 2-year bannees unless they are in the top 3 in that DL event, because DL rules mandate the top 3 have to be there. If not in the top 3 in that event, they won't invite them.

Other DL meets do invite 2-year people at will; it's up to them.

Note, for example, that Gatlin did run Zürich last year, and won the overall DL crown.

And the next week he also ran in Brussels, where the 100 was non-DL.

That can't happen this year because of Z's ban position and the 100 is non-DL for them.

Like who? Last year Bolt won in Zürich against Gatlin, Ashmeade, Vicaut, Rodgers, Carter and then beat Gatlin again in Brussels. The only one Bolt didn't run against was Blake and that was probably because they asked too much for such a race.
