Well, this is VERY interesting. Season is approaching and I hope to see him running the 100m DL final in Brussels. He is improving steadily...

According to google search: The meet was part of the "Lions Summer Twilight All Comers Meet" series at St. Michael's High School in Austin.
This is the page where the results will be put up:
        http://trackforlife.com/results.htm
and this is the write up for the meet:

Looks like Asafa Powell has one more Olympic Gold medal in him before he calls it quits
        : )
Bolt's last year...and my last year as a track fan, it's been fun

Had I been local I soooo would have entered the 100, just so I can say I was beaten, but I pushed the winner to a 9.87.

Days later and the Results section of the website (http://trackforlife.com/results.htm) has not been updated and the time has not been added by the IAAF to their table.

Asafa Powell said that it was only a training exercise. I don't know if it will be considered a regular race by IAAF... surely Powell will run next week in Zagreb on September 2, then in Italy for the Rieti Meeting, in the same place where he set an amazing WR of 9.74 in 2007

That was the easiest / slowest 9.87 I have seen.

Yes, IAAF will not give like legal this race, it looks amateur race, not serious.

Id just love this guy to win a major championship before he bows out!. Hopefully it would happen in Beijing or Rio...Just get rid of the nerves and run without fear

Not sure I see any reason why they shouldn't (other than the fact that it didn't look like he was running that fast :-)

We can see from the film the there was a Lynx camera (and as I understand it, that won't yield 100th-second timing unless it was started by the gun), and we can see there was a wind gauge. And there was a whole field for him to run against.

What's not to like? (and this from somebody who is quick to slap down iffy performances)

I would love to see him win a championship, but it's just way too unrealistic the way things look now. Many others would need to falter for him to reach even a Silver medal.
