Longhorns roll a 3:25.58 semi. UCLA also blazing for a prelim at 3:27.57. If the Texas women make it through to Saturday feeling fine (BIG IF), they could make a run at their 3:23 from Texas Relays.

The way those ladies are running right now, I'd say the chances of a new collegiate record are well above 50-50.

Okay, just kidding.

What amazed me was that two others went under 3:30, and neither was LSU. Could we actually have a real competition tomorrow?

Prediction: UT 3:22.

And dammit, I want them to set a national record when I'm actually watching. I missed their 3:23 at the Texas Relays. (Of course, I had a good excuse -- my 2nd daughter was born the day before, so I was kinda busy.)
