This will be another midnight affair with the time zones, but this is worth it!

Coming live from Pre...tune in nearer the time.
Check it out...(we will fire it up as the first running event approaches).

Thanks to everyone who tuned in to this service and who sent me email with their thoughts and suggestions.

It seems as if this is a much needed and valued service; however, as with so many things connected with the Internet, it is hard to see a way to generate revenue for our company from it. Without a revenue stream connected to the service I cannot justify requests to my CEO for improvements, enhancements, or even a "value" for the service itself.

I don't want this post to be seen as a plug for Lynx, but rather as a request for help in allowing us to continue to provide a service that was universally perceived as "very cool." Does anybody have any ideas?

    All the best,

    Giles

    Giles.

I loved it...it actually felt like a track meet atmosphere at my house! (ok, that's somewhat of an exaggeration, but kind of exciting) I'll have it going whenever there is something to tune into...if I'm home. (That's the kicker...I just happened to be off work for a few weeks with my new baby boy.)

No dropped connections or anything...worked like a charm...it would be cool if it was video though :-)

No, but I lost the barking on Day 2.

    * Did you like the service?

Very much - but data went by too quickly, need to be able to reaccess it.

    * What did you like most about it?

    Speed!

    * Would you use the service if we ran it at Prefontaine this week-end? should we run it at every major meet where our timing providers (Flash Results) produce results?

    Yes - Yes!!

The photofinish feature is at the top of the main results page, not on the cyberscoreboard.

If you haven't yet done so, check out the M100 photo from yesterday.

Hey, I got the A/C on in my office, beer in hand, having fun. I had to show the Java part to my wife, as we're both computer geeks.
