  • 60m World Champion Kilty beaten in Copernicus Cup by fellow Brit

The title of thread is wrong, I misread the article.
Kim Collins stunned World Champion Kilty over 60m

I don't enjoy watching this distance very much, but significant early season upset.

Bolt's last year...and my last year as a track fan, it's been fun

Will, given what I had seen so far this winter I would have been stunned if Kilty had beaten Kim Colllins.

      For sure!
Even with a dream start at the Copernicus meet in Poland Kilty was still a meter behind.
Collins is truly amazing, 40 next year and setting PB in the 60.

How can Collins be running PBs at the age of 38 or 40 or whatever? Seriously.

It's funny that people asked the same thing about him 4 years ago when he was clocked a slower time:

Now a 6.47! Kim Collins for next month's cover. If not now, when?

Well, I think he's slated for the March cover of AARP Monthly...

Seeing him up close on Saturday, he seems to have bulked up his upper body in the last couple of years. I remember reports from around 2003 when he claimed to be doing very little in the weights room. Looks like he's changed his approach.

It must be strange to be Kim Collins. He's short of 40 and everytime he talks to someone on tv the first comment is about how he's an old man...for the last 5 years. I've never heard them not mention it in an interview. But he seems to be fine with it, thats funny to me, hahaha
