Great talent, but born in 1995 makes him senior

The excessive wind makes it not eligible for any records unofficial or official so

I think you are very likely to be right. Using JRM's calculator, that 9.87 corrects to 10.02 in zero wind at sea level. His PB of 10.01 was set with 0.9 at Hiroshima corrects to a 10.05. If he had a nice +1.5m/s instead of that Texas gale, it would come out to around 9.94!

So he's right up there with his corrected PB at the start of the season. Even more impressive if this was this his first run (does anybody know?).

If he can stay uninjured, it would seem he should be able to be in the 9.9 - 10.1 range later in the season in any reasonable conditions.

I think it was Kiryu running an even anchor with Gatlin in the 4x100.
