  • What if today was April 2nd?

Today is the infamous April Fool's Day!
This means you must take ANYthing you hear or read with a TON of salt!!
    But let's play a game.
What if the things we've seen or heard today were TRUE?
Here's a list of things I've heard or seen:

    1. Matt Centrowitz is going to run the Olympic Trials Marathon, saying that if he fails to make the team, he and Salazar will talk about which event to try for.

    2. Mary Cain has entered the Boston Marathon, and will be seeking to run 5:40 pace. (That's about 2:28:30 for 26.2 miles!) She says she's been running marathon distance in her long runs.

    3. Kara Goucher and Lauren Fleshman have recorded a CD of songs having to do with running. It's gotten some REALLY bad reviews!

    4. Sally Bergesen, a CEO at Oiselle, is the new owner of Let's Run.com.

    5. Eric Jenkins and Ed Cheserek will NOT run at the NCAA Regionals, but will race each other at the Prefontaine Classic.

    6. Usain Bolt is going to become an American citizen.

    7. The Monaco DL meet is going to run the Mile, eliminating the 1500.

    April Fool's?

    Or.......????

You forgot about Aman becoming a US citizen, and the Kenyan government disbanding the Athletics Kenya.

Oops, the latter was announced yesterday, so it must be...

The video posted on the TFN home page is excellent. I don't see how he kept a straight face the entire time.

But seriously, it makes you wonder about Centro's potential there and whether or not they are doing mileage which might allow them to have somewhat of a decent marathon base. I'm sure most of Salazar's people dream that they could have the range of Mo. Rupp is the one who might really have a shot at something decent.
