Only surprisingly slow because I know he's capable of more. In an event of this magnitude I expected the winning time to be sub 44.50, considering how good the field was.
I'm not knocking 44.71 AT ALL. But he ran 44.48 when DQ'ed in the Big 12 meet, and 44.50 in the Regional. I don't see anything strange about thinking he might run faster.Comment

I hope he can continue to run well after finishing up at Baylor. So much talent has been squeezed from guys from Baylor and did not do well on the next level. I hope he and Darold can help make the professional circuit more interesting when the time comes.Comment
