    TrackTown World Championships in 2021

    It's official!
Hayward Field will be the site of the 2021 World Championships!

The Spirit of Pre lives on!

ADD: Sorry, Weights&Shoes, I didn't see your post when I put this up. If you want to delete this, do so.

Very exciting move. This Aussie will be doing his damnedest to get there... Had been discussing with some mates attempting to attend the 2016 OTs, but this might work better...

Same here. I MAY go in 2016 (having been in 08 and 12), but I GOTTA go in 21!

This is great news, but where will everyone that wants to attend sit? What is the capacity of Hayward Field. Certainly no more than 25,000. This will be by far the smallest venue ever for a World Championship.

So how much did Nike pay to get this? Nike Inc. turns 50 in 2021, just a coincidence i'm sure. Eugene getting WCs is great, but i don't like the way it happened.

Considering the circumstances surrounding this I'm thinking Bob Hersh's IAAF colleagues wanted to make sure it happened while he was still on council, which may be an ominous sign for Hightower.

If someone were desperate, I bet she'd let them put down a sleeping bag in her living room!
