  • "100m-200m double is hard on the body" , says Fraser-Pryce

Double Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce wants to become "one of the greatest" athletes in history.
The 28-year-old Jamaican sprinter, who won the 100m and 200m world titles in 2013, suffered an injury-hit 2014.
But she returned with a 200m third place finish in Kingston last week and runs her first 100m of the year at Shanghai's Diamond League meeting on Sunday.
"I believe there's much more in store and I'm looking forward to becoming one of the greatest," she said.
    "Yes, that would be nice."
Fraser-Pryce is taking her comeback carefully and says she is likely to compete in just the 100m in this year's World Championship in Beijing.

Next year is the Olympic Games so you want to make sure your body is right there," she said.
"I just believe there's more I can do in the sprints. I'm yearning to surpass my best of 10.7 seconds and that's one reason I'm focussing on the 100 more."
Sunday's field features six sub-11 second sprinters, headed by Jamaica's Veronica Campbell-Brown and American Tori Bowie.

Fraser is 100m specialist ...I think if she solely focus on her start ...her drive phase ...her trchnique this year ...she will most likely win gold

She doesnt have to.run 200m this year .....I think considering last few years ...I think the 200m will be more stacked and difficult

Once Fraser gets her start together she can get whatever she wants on the 100 ....But not sure about the 200m this year ...The 200m will be soo stacked

I hope she can get to 10.6. I wonder if her height as caused her not to reach there by now. I hope I am wrong.

When Jeter makes 2 strides shelly has to make 3 .

Thats the main reason she has not gone sub 22 yet

SAFP hasn't got a choppy stride for someone of her height, I'd say she's like Gail Devers with long legs and a shorter trunk.
