The qualifiers that ESPN flashed on the TV screen were not accurate. Those would have been the qualifiers on straight time.

Also protest from fall in first heat.

Second heat was loaded to the max. Joyce and Creese casualties and out.

They were the qualifiers in time order (you may have meant that). That is how the results are typically shown on TV and they are shown in the meet results the same way.

They did not show the qualifiers in time order; they showed the top twelve time performers with a voiceover that those were the qualifiers. They left out the slower qualifiers from heat 1.

It is not typical to mess up like that.

oregon certainly helped themselves by advancing three runners to the finals. There is some upside for them here.

Looks like they advanced Yorks, after Hardy knocked him all over the track.

I would say that Haney (FR, Oregon) looked better (great finish) than almost all of those on the chart. Maybe he shot his wad, but he does have two days to prep and the Oregon crowd. Between this and Decathlon, Oregon is doing well, plus Crouser won the JT and they did go 1-2 in the 10,000.

It was impossible to tell in the second heat, because Soratos, Noelle, and Williamsz were practically walking when they crossed the finish line.
