    I hope MileSplitUSA was right.
One minute before they said it was legal, Jon Mulkeen tweeted it wasn't!!

But it SEEMS MS was correct!!

    INCREDIBLE!!

I can't believe she ran that fast and she still has two more years of high school. How many high school performances are better than this?

There are several conflicting reports on the wind.

          Flotrack posted results showing 2.0.
          MileSplitUSA says it's legal.
Jon Mulkeen says it was windy.
Ato Boldon tweeted from an airplane, saying it was 2.5.
But then Boldon tweeted again (in response to people saying it was legal), saying he was confused, but was unable to phone anyone because he was in a plane.

Windy or not, still an INCREDIBLE time!!

ADD: Mulkeen just tweeted it's LEGAL!!

Can someone explain this to me: http://www.youcaring.com/candace-hill-372097
A talent like her is not getting any sponsoring, no financial support?

Sponsoring would make her a Pro, wouldn't it??

                  And there's my next question!
                  WHEN does she go Pro??

When I asked "How many high school performances are better than this?"; I meant any high school performance in any event, male or female.

What actually are the all-conditions best? When you are apprised of the competition (Daniels, Francis, Williams) in these races and the separation from them, special might become a small word in describing her.

And noting DCSIGMA's comment on length, I thought the 200 would truly be her signature event. However, similar to another athlete with better than average displacement ability, her start has certainly improved of a year ago.

Aren't those people donating money kinda sponsoring her too? If someone gave her those 5000 USD it would be ok, as long as she doesn't sign a contract? How does that work?

                          Carter's 81-3.50 and/or his 67-9 with the 16?
And I'm NOT saying it's better!
                          Just somewhat akin!

Some of the OLD records could be considered.

                          Chapa's and Shea's 10K's.
Lindgren's 8:40 INdoors in '64, when no one had broken 9:00 (except for him!).
Ditto with Ryun's being first to break 4:00.

A bit lower on my list might be Robinson's 44.69.
And of course, some of Cain's marks, from before she went Pro.

But those I mentioned weren't made by a 16 year old SOPH!!

ADD: McCullough's 93-3.25 WT INdoors! He's so far ahead of anyone else, it's ridiculous!

I think Leslie Maxie's record in the 400m H can go down to Sydney Mcglaughin.....has anybody come close to the girls LJ record?

Carter, to me, is the best. I'm a bit surprised no one has taken down McMillan's record. Robinson's is pretty tough as is Cain's 5k.
