Всероссийская федерация легкой атлетики (ВФЛА) выступила с заявлением в связи с информацией о расследовании в отношении тренера Виктора Чегина, которое проводит Российское антидопинговое агентство (РУСАДА).

This article translated includes the following great news:

"In order to avoid damage to the image of the Russian athletics in general in the Russian sports world not to send Russian athletes to participate in official international competitions Race Walking RUSADA pending investigation, "- said in a statement"

It's always the same here, all Russians are guilty until proven innocent, all Americans are innocent until proven guilty. They defend convicted drug cheats like Gatlin with "he served his time" or "he's clean now", while at the same time condemning all Russians, even those who have never been convicted of any doping offense. Bigotry at its best.

Right, cause nobody here ever asked for all Russian athletes to be banned, right?

Because one extreme case does, does not make it the general tone, but you seem intent on taking such cases and basing broad statements like this upon them.

So Russia is hosting the world race walking cup next year, and the year after, and won't be fielding a team? MOVE THE EVENT. The IAAF Council should have moved the event last spring when there was still plenty of time for another city to host. This is ridiculous.

There is no defense for the Russians involved in the "walking drug factory".

However, there is also no defense either for the "up yours" attitude of the Americans in the form of USATF appointing drug cheats as national coaches. How can anyone have faith in the USA when the USATF tells the rest of the world to get their houses in order but don't worry about us because we are bigger than you and therefore it is OK for us to cuddle up to our drug cheats, to make them national coaches, to let them off with 1 year bans etc etc.

That attitude of their national body must really piss off all of the clean USA athletes.

If you had a clue, you'd be dangerous. Ask Jon Drummond, former Chair of USATF AAC, how diligent I can be in helping remove cheats in the USA. Back to your hole, rats.

Dude, you can't be calling people out in public and then be shocked when they fire back. No one buys that routine.

But you can be insulting or you can be civilised, MJR seems to be under the impression his insults are necessary, while all they are doing is weaken his arguments.
