Lagarde stumbled off the last and never came upright again. Looked like he was dipping from waaaaaaaay too far out when he just didn't regain his balance.

Was he ahead when he stumbled?

He was ahead and looked to have it won. Ifs and buts, ifs and buts.

Considering 56 degrees F in London, some pretty good performances.

Looks like he took the lead at the 2k mark, and must have controlled the race from the front.

                        Agree.
                        But I'd go further.
                        End her season, yes.
But end her association with Salazar also!

Her fantastic 2013 season was done 98% on natural teenage progression.
If anything, Salazar held her back from even GREATER times in '13.

She had a good INdoors in 2014---which can again be mostly credited to natural progress of a teenager.

Then, from OUTdoors 2014 on, practically NOTHING!
                        Forget the drug scandal!
She should leave Salazar because he has no idea how to train her.

She should go with either Mike Hickey, the New Balance group (Abbey D et al), or with Oiselle.

I wish her the very best!

Overall a good first day despite the bad weather.

Good run from Bolt 9.87 twice in 90mins with awful starts and weather conditions. Start needs work but he's getting there.

Nice to see Rodgers challenge for second each race, running very consistently this season.

Lifetime best for Bailey Cole with the 9.92. After a slow start to the season, suffering from chikungunya, good to see him running solid times. He was clutching his leg after the race, hopefully it's nothing serious. His start still needs a lot work.

Another great time by Stowers in the hurdles 12.47. It's too bad she's not going to Beijing.

Zharnel Huges is on the verge of a sub 20. He's one to watch in the future for sure.

Stowers looked very sharp today. Shame she didn't make the US team, but such is life. Bolt looks good, but I'd be amiss to say he's the favorite to win in Beijing. Consistency speaks volumes and that's something Gatlin has on his side right now (plus a better start).

Sanya surprised me in the relay, albeit the time wasn't the fastest and all of the handoffs were mediocre, she gapped all of the ladies. Hope she can put something nice down in the 200 tomorrow.
