  • WC Prediction Contests

Uh oh, our favorite Dutch site appears abandoned!
    http://www.atletiektoto.nl/

How'my going to get my Championship contest fix? Donley?

Letsrun has one, probably, but they don't do all the events.

We have on on our German board, if there really are no alternatives, we could ask Oliver (who also does the Beijing lists), if we can do an English version if there is actual interest. How many people usually took part at the Dutch one?

        Thank you.

        Edit.
I just checked my bookmarks. They already had this website last year.

Much better this way, i don't think Oliver would be happy if we asked him for cash prizes.

Why not just have the old fashioned kind?
Meaning that we all list our Top 3 picks for all events, and see who has the most correct picks!
              Simple!

We could also send letters and telegrams instead of emails and tweets.

We have had this type of contest on this message board several times in previous world champs editions. I wouldn't mind entering again.

We can do the simplest one here again; pick the Golds.

But I like the Dutch contest, because it evaluates your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices separately.

I really dislike the scoring system of the Dutch contest, which has a higher luck factor than almost any reasonable alternative. (Of course, that won't stop me from entering again and hoping I'll get lucky this year...)

Doesn't it also do the 20 to 1 point contest. I always do well in that one if the U.S. runs well in the sprint relays, and that's a crap shoot.

We're busy trying to clone one back into existence. Patience!

I always said it was just a matter of luck ... right Atticus? :-)
