Oddly, tracksuperfan's list mentions Beamon's Mexico City WR in the text but presents Emmiyan's lesser distance as the altitude record.

Well, there is pretty good evidence that Beamon's jump was most likely wind-aided. That might be why it is not listed as the altitude record.
