Well, I meant since Zelezny has the Silver from '88 and now has a chance to win his 4th Gold he would have the superior one event Olympic career compared to Carl and Oerter.

mike, you're right.... The Big Z has won 3. (92,96,00) Korjus won in '88.

I think Jan would tie Al and Carl. Seems there was an accident at Seoul, neither Zelzney nor Backley got out of prelims. But I could be wrong, that could have been Tokyo '91. I'll check. Strange for Jan, all those OG and WC golds and never an EC.

Yes Dale3, it is indeed Zelezny's birthday.
In all this excitement in Dublin about Bloomsday, Ulysses and James Joyce today, I clean forgot.
If Jan wins in Athens he tops Oerter and Lewis.
