Didn't know much about Prandini before today, except for her times and athletic ability.
But I don't believe shoe companies necessarily sign people on for ONLY their athletic talents!
Personality---and dare I say it, physical attractiveness--sometimes have a large amount to do with their signing T&F athletes.
Lolo Jones is no longer a top-rated athlete---she's now 2nd tier---yet I'm sure her sponsors still LOVE her.
Same with Michelle Jenneke.
Same with ANYONE with a great personality, charm, and yes, looks.
I watched her interview today about her Puma signing.
It was really the first time I've SEEN her....or HEARD her----as a PERSON!!
(Before, it was just videos or webcasts with her running!)
She has a DISTINCTIVE voice, face, personality (a bit "jock-ish or tomboy-ish) that others don't.
I'm sure she'll run MUCH faster than she did in this meet.
But I don't believe Puma signed her ONLY for her speed on the track!

I picked her for 3rd here, and still think she can be another Schippers, but I now consider her the poster-woman of our ongoing discussion of moving the Trials closer to the Big Meet. She couldn't re-peak. Some of her 'failure' here is no doubt attributable to the fact that the meet was in the friendly confines of Hayward Field, but, c'mon, this was a major let-down, and I'm sure it was NOT because she didn't work hard enough after USATF.
