Italian American slang? Maybe that explains Garry's recent physical transformation to the appearance of a cast member of the "Sopranos!" Ooops, I think that might have been mean-spirited... ;^)
I think you're reading far too much into what the

My take is

I agree with GH's point. The real issue is whether the discussion is respectful. Name calling just because one can't come up with a valid coherent response is disrespectful. It's that type of degenerative response that drove me off darkwing. I've seen much less of it here. The long thread of "clean v dirty" was a good representation of a lively debate that never really became personal.
What I have disliked with this board over the past six
>weeks is the "I told you so" which seems to creep into many posts,
kuha has said that would be me and that really isn't what I am/was doing. Some stuff just seems legitimately funny with 20-20 hindsight and there is no offence intended. I asked a "power that be" for his blessing before I did one for crying out loud and he said go for it but(sadly) it fell flat on its face.
Last night I posted what I believed was a well-reasoned but fairly critical post on the THG board, that was even complimented by another poster as being as near to hitting the nail on the head as a post could be, and it was cut.
In the meantime, a person who had been wreaking much mayhem on that board was allowed to continue to post comments of no worth designed to agitate people. I really don't understand the why's of decisions to delete posts, but I hope this forum doesn't become so concerned with nicety that people aren't allowed to express sincere opinions, expressed intelligently, without being sanctioned.

They got to him. Have you seen any posts from him in the last few hours? He will be back though.

Unfortunately, the software we're currently using doesn't allow us to cherry pick which posts to cut and which to leave. If we find an objectionable one that has to go and we clip it, everything that is threaded to it (i.e., if you used it or a successor as your "respond" point) also goes. As noted, in the one thread where things went so south, that meant about 25% of the content disappeared and I apologized for any discontinuity it caused.
As for "in the meantime, a person who had been wreaking much mayhem on that board was allowed to continue to post comments of no worth designed to agitate people," the people who monitor this board have real lives and real jobs and can't catch every friggin' post in real time. Sometimes bad stuff sneaks through. Please don't take that as a sign of approval. The jerk wasn't "allowed" to do anything.
Just tracked the Note From a Concerned Subscriber. It's from Stepford. Just kidding, sorry if I offended anyone. You guys are great and doing an awesome job. Keep up the good work.

I think that the poster was refering to something like the first post listed above although Buckeye's response was well put.
He wrote something about Kuha which I didn't read very carefully. Probably something about the real or imagined issues of race that fly through Satch's head.
