I for one always go for the chuckle. I honestly don't believe myself to be malicious in any way, especially when I am exchanging messages with people I don't know. I had a row with TAFNUT a few weeks ago but I never thought he was being mean spirited and I was surely not trying to be, and it took a few posts to get our opinions sorted out which was good.
What I have learned by being a member of this site is that there are a hell of a lot of people out there who feel as I do about athletics, and it's good to trade comments with them. Some of you stagger me with your knowledge, which might lead a mean spirited person to say you're all too anal retentive but that's not me. I really enjoy learning from all of you. There are occasionally some exchanges which have caused me some discomfort with their bashing of each other but I chalk that up to our passion for what we are writing about. remember the Olympics are coming and we're all getting amped up for it.
As an Italian American from New Jersey who has way too close connections to "Sopranos" folk, let me assure you I gave my Mom lots of 'Agida' in my youth.

When athletes like Stember shoot off their mouths predicting victory and saying things that belittle their opponents, they shouldn't be surprised when fans jump on them with both feet when they don't deliver.
