Will Mike Holloway want to "waste" him in the decathlon when he's probably capable of scoring and/or winning three individual events?

Eaton and Holloway are two different body types. Eaton is a mesomorph; Holloway is all limbs. When Holloway is in his football duds, he conjures up Randy Moss, which Eaton assuredly does not.

Holloway can be many things but he was never going to be a truly elite level decathlete, whoever his coach.

I'd leave a dec until his soph year of college.
Let him develop more first---get faster, stronger, etc.
Get better marks---maybe high 26's in the LJ--even 27, and faster in the hurdles & 400.
Also should wait because of the differences between a HS dec and a Collegiate/Pro dec---higher hurdles, heavier weighted implements.
