My opinion of what this "rumor" is about?
It's between Todd & Cunliffe.
If you see Cunliffe's tweets--even since HS--you'd know she's really into herself.
She would send out numerous somewhat provocative selfies of herself--fully clothed, but nonetheless wanting to look good.
When Prandini went Pro, Todd thought she'd be THE best Duck sprinter.
But then here comes Cunliffe from Oklahoma, and she immediately takes over as Oregon's best sprinter---first INdoors, and now OUTdoors!
Todd felt hurt by that, and she and Cunliffe went head to head, both becoming upset.
Cunliffe runs bad in the 200 because she's upset.
Todd prematurely ends her Oregon career because SHE's upset!
Now back to the T&FN Message Board!

It would be interesting to read the opinions of those of you with extensive knowledge of D1 programs, coaching and athletes about this observation: Oregon women's program has lost several proven and promising athletes in recent years (Claudia Francis, Haley Crouser, Ashlee Moore, Marybeth Sant, now Todd to name some). Is that extent of turnover typical? Is there any discernible pattern of factors contributing to the turnover? - I know too little to have an informed opinion, but superficially it would seem indicative of "something rotten in Denmark".
Thoughts?

Let's not speculate, and push rumors as fact. Now we have went from individual speculation of Jasmine Todd to now judging the Oregon program as to whether there is some systemic problem with the coaching staff.Let's just wait and see later about the story when it comes out, rather than add fuel to the fire when it's obvious that we don't know what the situation is."Sprintin' ain't easy, baby !

No speculation or judgment, merely observation

Every major program loses athletes, some lose several. In the high-stakes world of school-selection, teenagers often make mistakes or are swayed by things they didn't even think about after they are already attending another school.
Or, as in the case of Ole Miss that is before the NCAA, there were instances of coaches recruiting kids from other schools.
When Ms. Todd is good and ready, I'm sure she will let everyone know what happened. Or not.

If OU or OSU's QB walked away from the team prior to the ncaa semi finals in football would it be equally none of our business or would there be a bit of a natural curiosity as to what might have occurred?
