Actually, I think the part about not having problems with the coaching staff or other team mates sheds more light on the subject, given previous posts.

I was not told exactly what happened and it's none of any of our businesses. Obviously something happened in her personal life which caused a crisis and she felt unable to compete. Perhaps someday she will tell us why. Perhaps not. End of story.
With all due respect, nothing of what you said (not pregnant, injured, etc etc) is new!
So I go back to what I said before---
If she turns Pro soon---and I expect she will--she will be asked endlessly about why she left UO!
In this internet/blog/cyber-dominated media world, no one's going to let it go---until they get answers!
Meanwhile, the speculation, rumors, gossip will continue.
It's not about US---we here at T&FN MB!
We're just a tiny---even if informed---segment of the track world who are curious.
We could all go silent on this----but I guarantee you the world outside of this tiny segment will NOT!!
It's the era we live in---where a "celebrity" (even if on a "minor" scale!) can't hide----or keep secrets!!

still, at least 6 leaving women's track team...rather puzzling to say the least...hope nothing serious going on

of course Oregon has a bigger squad of national-class athletes, so on a percent basis, maybe the difference isn't all that notable. Just positing.

It's the same as when people say Stanford has a higher burnout rate than everybody else, but when you consider their huge squad size…..

This happens all over the country.Even down to the High School level.

Again, seriously, don't knock it if you haven't tried it!
Here's a few names of T&F people who use Twitter for good purposes---

Jasmine Todd (the above series of tweets), who chose Twitter instead of asking Flotrack to give her an interview!

Suzy Favor Hamilton, who is always tweeting links to articles & sending out inspirational words about mental illness!

Nick Symmonds & Boris Berian who have used---and are using--Twitter to present THEIR sides of their fights against USATF & Nike!!
And use Twitter to gain public support for their arguments!

Greg Rutherford has tweeted his anger at the rule on how many athletes get the final 3 attempts!

Phoebe Wright sent out a GREAT photo to indicate how it feels to race against Caster Semenya---which has gone viral!!

    Etc, etc , etc!!
I have a twitter account which I typically find most helpful for getting breaking news but you just listed a bunch of reasons I am not active on it. :-)
