Baylor NOT making it to the final???

Not from a Power 5 conference.

SFA DQ was for running inside their lane at some point. Ironic...

That's really too bad. I was excited for them.

                    From the SFA website:

SFA was ruled to have stepped over the line on the inside of its lane during a curve, negating a speedy 3:05.23.

But at least they have this going for them:

All four ‘Jacks, along with their two alternates Kerry Gleason and D’Lance Sharp, will be back at SFA next year. Gibson is a junior while the other five individuals competed as underclassmen this season.

LSU picked up a lot of points on Thursday by simply watching other higher ranked athletes DNQ. Based on the TFN formcharts, I see LSU 65, OR 52, AR/TAMU mid-40s. Very possible that the meet will be over before the 4x400, barring some spectacular Friday OR results and/or LSU failures.

OR needs a big run in the 1500. They have Ches and Allen as "sure" points but not the crowd of extra points they had in year's past.

I completely agree. It's the 1500 or bust, though Chambers could conceivably run a great 400 and pick up a few extra points (and just as conceivably lose a few points from the form chart). Allen and Ches will merely "hold serve" since it's impossible to improve on a #1 ranking. The only other possible OR scorer would be Leingang in the 5000 and that's a bit of a stretch.

The 400 is open. He's as talented as any of the others and ran a fine semi from the inside lane yesterday. It wouldn't shock me if he finished #1 or #8.
