  • Alex Schwazer caught again.

The reformed Italian race walker, who swore on everything holy that he was clean now, who hired an anti-doping coach to show he was serious, was caught again with EPO about a month ago, according to this Italian newspaper report:

Jared Tallent would be liking his chances again in Rio, after being presented with gold from London just last week. Will there ever be an end to this nonsense?

At the rate things are going maybe Tallent and NZ's Quentin Frew will be the only walkers left standing (walking)

Every medal this asshole has ever earned should be stripped away.

Schwazer is likely behind the fake Twitter account @TheodorQuandt who had some amusing conversations defending Schwazer...

              ...shocking...a cheater cheated....
Is racewalking actually the dirtiest event in Athletics? Or does it just seem like it because of the Russians?

I'd go with most. Among the many bullshit events anyway; ignored.

Schwazer and his entourage are going to have a press conference at 18.00; it will be public, don't know if it's going to be streamed anywhere. If he is caught doping again he will be a big shame to Italy's track and field which is already lacking of decent results in too many disciplines. I can't remember his tears and reactions when he was caught for the first time. At that time he gave unlikely proofs of having been to Turkey to buy doping alone and so on. It was a bit unbelievable. Now he has been following by Sandro Donati who is known as a strong doping opposer but... let's wait and see what happens. It has been said that the steroids found in his sample are 11 times (!!!!) the normal level. If it's true, than Schwazer can be considered quite foolish.

The press conference was live on Sky Italy... Did you see it? At least when prof. Donati clarified the NOT abnormal steroids level? If yes, what do you think now? Thanks.

This is my question in this forum of experts and professionals, in humility and without any polemic intent: Without speaking of a conspiracy or anything, is there some of you who knows a similar case, that is the first negative test, then a repeated specific test with positivity after 5 months? Can you name a single athlete who was disqualified by following this procedure? Of course, no mention of the group controls replayed after years, like the World Championships in Helsinki 2005 or the 2008 Beijing Olympics ... Thanks if someone can and will respond.

The press conference was divided into four main sessions. Firstly, the lawyer spoke but didn't see anything interesting. He was followed by Schwazer himself who said he was guilty four years ago but not now and he wants his name cleared. The will also sue, even if there is not a clear target for it. As for Donati, he said Schwazer is much clearer than the likes of Gatlin (he spoke about him saying his arms are twice bigger than Schwazer legs and that that was because of steroids Gatlin took in the past). Then he said it's impossible he is found guilty, he attacked the WADA saying they do many good things but that there is a lot of corruption both in it and in the IAAF (he cited Diack's problems with covering dopers and bribery). Then he cited an athlete of him who was victim of a sabotage in the past and didn't rule out this possibility even this time. He said Schwazer is clearly the best walker world-wide (he said nobody could be him, either in 20km) and that he could be a victim of envy people. He said they were approached by important people (didn't say the names) who wanted Schwazer to lose on purpose in Rome to Tallent and a chinese walker. He also said Schwazer could be tested 24 hours a day since he renounced to have a window in which he was willing to be tested. As for the steroids, he said Schwazer steroids level were not as high as announced. It wasn't very clear.

Sincerely, I don't know what to say. Schwazer was clearly guilty 4 years ago and he covered some people by saying he did everything alone. This time, it's quite incomprehensible to think he took steroids which are quite easy to detect. It's quite weird they decided to test that sample again after his victory in Rome since he had MANY tests which were negative. I don't know if he is really a victim of the system, I hope so but it would be quite heavy if it was this way.

Well sabotage during New Year's Eve is very much possible. When someone puts something in your drink.
