Hannah Cunliffe saw the error of her ways and transferred in from Oklahoma.

Does anybody here know why on earth she chose OK?

What a vindictive jackass, kicking her off the team mid-season and denying her access to the track after she announced the transfer.

“I said I’ll finish out the season, and my head coach agreed I should finish out the season,” Cunliffe said. “But my sprint coach said since I’m transferring, he didn’t want my negative energy around the team and I couldn’t compete anymore.”

Oklahoma coach Jim VanHootegem verified Cunliffe’s account, but didn’t elaborate, citing a policy preventing comment on former athletes and staff no longer at the school. The sprints coach, Kevin Tyler, also left Oklahoma after last season.

Without access to the track or weight room, Cunliffe spent the spring in Norman working out on her own.

“I trained and did the workouts I thought I should be doing,” she said. “I was going to a high school track and practicing there, just trying to stay in shape.”

Oregon women may have had bigger lead had they not had a bad exchange between Stevens and Cunliffe on the second exchange. Coach Johnson said that he was happy with the time, but would have been happier with the "W."
He also said that Schippers agent said that that was a world class team he had.

Men's 4 x 400m saw Grant Holloway split about 44.0. They changed the order from NCAA indoors. Eric Futch 45.3, TJ Holmes 46, Ryan Clark 46.6 and Holloway 44.0.

Coach Curtis Taylor is an excellent Sprint tactician.He knows and executes his training plan with the athletes whether they be top level talent recruits,or good athletes that are developed through his training system.

Just to confirm, Hannah Cunliffe is not running for Italy right?

I thought that was an option for Prandini but Cunliffe as well? That said, IAAF have put a hold on any applications at the moment.

Can't remember what all these posts say, but I wonder if any College team---using the same 4-some--has ever broken TWO CR's in one meet---no matter the length of the meet!!
Especially in 2 separate events!
(Not breaking the record in a heat, then again in the final!)

I don't think it was the camera angle, I think she came from meters behind, probably more to do with Freeman & Washington not being quite in the same league, maybe? (It was Octavious Freeman & Ariana Washington on those last legs wasn't it? Considering their PBs are 22.5 and 22.2, that's quite a bit slower than Schippers, that was probably the explanation)

22.2 isn't exactly chopped liver - and whilst they may not be in peak form, neither would she be - and she made up lots of ground. Great news for the rivalry/spectators, bad news for everyone else!

Absolutely, 22.2 is superb and I'm not putting those times down, but as Schippers is the 3rd fastest of all time then I guess that's the difference in those runs we saw in Florida.

I think this year's NCAA 4x100 might be the fastest in history. 42.50 probably won't get you anything, since there at least three teams who should be prepared to go that fast if they're healthy. FYI, here's the all-time top 25 performance list:
