  • Asafast POWELL...

Great regular 10"00 in Lausanne. This confirms
Asafa will be more than dangerous in Athens...

He looks so fluid when he is running...tonight in Lausanne it appeared as if he was jogging...very easy...

There is a guy that does not have the same kind of attention that he deserves, he is problably the most regular sprinter of the season.
I believe that we have to wait and see who will make the US team before start talking about who is going to win to gold medal in the OG, but right know Asafa is the best sprinter of the Caribean area.

All these fast times will mean nothing to him if he isn't on the podium in Athens.

He didn't look so good in Rome, had a big lead, then was blown away by Buckland 20.20-20.24. (And in Lausanne Buckland was given the same treatment by Fredericks, 20.21-20.27!) Wide open 200 this year?

that 200 in rome is the very reason he should be one of the faves for the 100 ... man he SMOKED those guys round the bend, he looked awesome. his biggest problem is his start, going on last year anyways. you can't afford to be giving guys a metre or so's headstart in the pressure cooker of a championship final ... unless you're king carl.
