  • How fast will Sydney M run in her collegiate debut today?

Kentucky runs at Indiana meet later today where Dez Bryant has the 300 record of 36.70.

In a recent Kentucky assessment, it was posted that Syd ran an all time UK best for 352 yards. Will she PR? Will she break the meet record tonight?

Leading one to believe she has to be near/better than DezB.

I'll say 36.67 to sit at =2nd on the list.

Her PR is 36.82 and I believe she will run faster than that. Don't know anything about the IU track or her lane draw which could both impact her time.

If it's an OT, won't matter how fast she runs.
Won't break any records or make any lists.
On the other hand, if the track is 200 meters........!!

Also, keep in mind that, even though a Pro, Candace Hill ran 36.56 last year as a HS Senior!

Your blog doesn't list IU as a 200m banked track?

My blog doesn't have a list, but I did make my own list a few years ago.
And I see IU isn't on it, so unless there's a new track there, it's 200 meters!

According to IU website, it is 200m banked mondo.

Correction - it won't make your lists. Remember, there's lots of other people/entities keeping lists, many with greater 'authority' than you, and they WILL list 300m marks.

"My" lists aren't the only ones that separate OT marks from "legal" ones!!
Ever hear of Jack Shepard and his annual called HS Track?

I am guessing there are one or two like me who consider / recognise an indoor mark as being a valid indoor mark if the facility has walls and a roof. As far as I am concerned the time advantage from a banked 200m and a banked/flat 300m is irrelevant

Same old, same old points made by both sides----
                          same old, same old disagreements.

Anyway, this track IS 200 meters, so she WILL make the A-T list---and yes, I'm guessing it will be fast.
                          HOW fast, have no idea.
