  • the end of T&FN as you know it

if you're an e-subscriber to the magazine, you should about now have received a communiqué from us regards the future of the magazine (snail-mail subscribers will receive an accordingly slow notification).

The December 2017 was the last ink & paper version of T&FN ever.

Starting with the January 2018 issue, it will all be done via electronic distribution only.

    More info to follow.

I guess all good things must come to an end. It's the price of progress.

Wow. I gotta admit, I thought that was some kind of practical joke.
I understand the business aspects, but I'm still exceedingly sad.
I'm going to guess that I will end up printing it out as I do the TN.

      End of an era, indeed.

Smelled it coming ever since the e version started. No use saying anything more. Beyond sad for me. The memories, the memories...

As someone who has spent the last 40 years collecting every edition of TFN this is just very, very sad.

Sad sign of the times. Hope the e-version is successful.

Interesting marketing strategy, announcing rate INCREASE for subscription at same time as terminating the hardcopy version of said subscription.

I am only subscribed to a print version. Is my subscription going to be switched to electronic automatically or is there a drill I need to do?

How about a lottery as to when the final shoe drops ? 1 year ? 3 years ? More ? Less ?

Me three. It's a sad day indeed. I guess it's only a matter of time before Downbeat follows suit.

Sports Illustrated just went to every other week, but they doubled everybody's sub term.

That is what I thought this was about....

Considering every serious running magazine is gone now...
