On provisional list---by nation---saw Kerley's listed for the Relay, but not the open 400!
He'd be so great in the open.
Any chance to move him to the open to replace whomever??

None whatsoever. He finished fifth in the NC, so he wasn't entered in the individual, full stop. You certainly can't add new names to the entry list at this point.

Are you suggesting we ignore the results of the national championships?

BTW, Kerley didn't look that great in Glasgow last sunday. Barely below 46s, I was expecting something much closer to the WIR according to his training and his two races in Albuquerque.

I thought he ran really well, finishing nearly half a second ahead of Janezic, who'd been dominating the European circuit up to that point. You couldn't reasonably expect him to match his time from the NC - not only is Glasgow at low altitude, but the track doesn't look conducive to fast running over 400. Just look at what people like Janezic and Eilidh Doyle ran, compared to their earlier races.

Seems they all stepped on the inside line at different points during the race.

They showed a replay of the race and I still don't see the ground for Taplin's DQ... But at this point it looks like he's out, as is the 2012 champ Nery Brenes, who was a comfortable winner in his heat.

                    That is righteously BIZARRO!!!!
Has ANY race ever been held where EVERY athlete was DQ'ed??
They need to run it over again!!
                    Gotta be the officials!!

Why should the officials be blamed for people running out of their lanes???
And according to the IAAF live blog, this is the first case ever where everyone in a race was DQed.

What if that had been the FINAL??
The Medal ceremony would be quite brief!!

in a World Champs setting, perhaps.

If it's first two in each heat, how do you choose first two from heat 3, aka the all DQ heat
