  • Canuck Trials

They are on this week-end although the big problem is meeting the criteria. This is their last shot plus they have to finish in the top 4. Site is here:

Dana Ellis won the pole vault and has met the criteria so she is going. I guess she is married to US vaulter Russ Buller who has moved on to the final in the US Trials.

Assuming they all finish in the top 4 in the final, 3 women are going in the hurdles because Priscilla Lopes got her q last night.

I'm sure the Coach will come back and explain it all to us, huh?

Babcock finished 3rd about 30 seconds behind Mondor who went 15:16. Can record holder, WC finalist, has an A and then some(14:54), third place in the trials. Don't know where TFN ranked her last year. She ain't going unless she gets through on appeal. She can't even chase the standard over the next 5 weeks. Team gets named Monday.

Great showing in the Men's 100 final! Canadian sprinting is back. Nice to see we have at least 4 guys at 10.2 or faster. I wouldn't be surprised if Pierre Browne goes sub 10 this year.
