I suspect this might be the case next year in Doha as Gatlin has the wild card and Lyles and Coleman will (likely) lead the younger team at 100/200.

LOL!!! Yes that is true. But, I have never seen Rogers leave too soon(false start) on a relay. Maybe he has, I don't know. But on those other legs.....SMH.

That's the same thing I thought. Coleman on lead off, Lyles on anchor.

Yep...And I don't get the one and done thing(if that indeed is the case)
If Coleman, Gatlin, Baker, and Lyles run five 4x100's this year they'll get under 37.

I would personally link Rodgers and Baker as both being 60-meter specialists who at this point are virtually interchangeable, and Team USA only needs one of them.

One should be bounced and Lyles should indeeed step in, without even getting into what the order should be.

Rodgers is admittedly on the downhill side of his career at 32, but he has 39 legal sub-10 100s to his credit. Baker won the 100 at Pre last year in 9.86w. Both are infinitely more experienced on relays than Lyles.

              His time will come.

Lyles may be a better turn runner than Baker, but I think I'd still prefer Baker for raw 100 speed at this point.

What's become of Trayvon Bromell? Is he no longer part of the equation for the USA?

The weather, judging by this weekend and this spring in general, doesn't appear to be
                    Conducive to a record-breaking performance.
It's supposed to be 77F next Friday (25C). Could be some rain Saturday, but I expect that the frigid weather will be gone by then.

Seems he's unfortunately become good friends with injury. I think he ran once since Rio, when he just missed the semis at USAs last year.

Should be a DQ on Gatlin to Baker handoff

Pretty anti-climactic. 38.08 ain't even in the Top 100 times.

They should attempt it with the same team a few more times...

To expect a fantastic time with a relatively new group in April isn't realistic.
