Alferd Packer, not Alfred. Even the cartoon got it wrong.

And I think this thread has gone off the rails.

Dr. Jay knows like anyone who has been to Boulder....

As for posting pictures it's not hard.....

The easiest is finding a copy online...click the picture to get 'copy picture location' option, which doesn't always work, and copy..

Here you type and paste the image where I wrote.

To do it from your computer or smartphone you have to upload it somewhere online first, FB, etc. and copy that image and do the same.

There is a way to do it directly from a computer but it only posts a thumbnail and looks like crap.

There's an absolutely great old Far Side cartoon about the Donner Party (I sent it earlier to Dr Jay but I can't figure out how to post pictures on this board).

A group of people are standing around a statue that reads at the base "Donner Party Memorial" - the statue is a sandwich - two pieces of bread with a foot in it.

Children on train: "We're tired, cold, hungry, and grumpy. Someone tell us a bedtime story."

Adult: "Well, once upon a time there was a group of brave pioneers called the Donner Party."

There are no food carts anywhere near the Wild Duck I can safely say...

We do like our beer not to go to waste.....though in those days choices in town were very limited.

Here's a better video of the explosion. You get to see it four times in 36 seconds. All's well as long as the Wild Duck was unaffected.....
