    • So it look like the record for most consecutive days without measurable precipitation was broken, by a day?

I wouldn't say it was big... Not a whole lot actually and I got there in the first hour... I got a few things...

                    Podiums for sale still...

I could set this up at 15th and Agate and give

                    The East Grandstand Address...

I take it that you are more concerned with the destruction of Historic Hayward Field than you are with the destruction of the historic distinction in the English language between podiums and lecterns.

I'm not sure I agree. What's gone at the Hayward site will be replaced with something that may be functionally superior. I don't see any advantage to the disappearance of a useful distinction between words meaning two different things.

                          • I realize that it was the University (or whoever is selling these things) that labeled them as podiums. I was not being critical of you.

Fair enough...you're a lawyer so you obviously know the difference...

I don't know who was selling the stuff...it all had to with the Trials...a ping pong table that was used by athletes during the Trials was on sale for $75. And a bunch of large coolers...and t shirts and, the only thing I bought, blue polo shirts and hats the volunteers wore....
