  • So it is. :-(

It's interesting that neither cites the other as being a source of the article. The Post story has a byline, which suggests to me that Brinkwire lifted it from the Post without attribution. Boo, hiss.

    • Just got the book....

For those curious nothing on the new Hayward Field construction or the demise of the East Grandstand...or the World Track Championships in Eugene...

          • This was probably answered before, but maybe not. Is any on-site parking part of the plan? The pictures do not seem to indicate that underground parking is happening.

            • No... parking is not part of the plan...

Here is parking for nearby Knight Arena ..

              It's pretty lousy...

              • The Autzen shuttle has worked pretty well. I just see a big hole in the ground as an opportunity to help remedy a parking shortage, but the construction timeline probably would not have allowed it anyway.

                • Reports say the construction is one month ahead of schedule.

i know nothing about the construction industry in that part of the world, but how many rain and/or snow incidents will it take to knock the schedule out of whack?

                      • Snow? In Eugene?

I'll ask next time I run into a construction guy...but I suspect the weather won't affect the pace...never stopped them in snowy cold Minnesota or Illinois...

by the way where did this report of being ahead of schedule come from?

                          • Yawn.... an inch or 2 of snow...and very rare. They should just stop construction now...

Personally I've never seen snow in Eugene.
