That's a fact! Who wouldn't want to run at Hayward and share that locker room? I ran at Ohio State 50+ years ago. We thought it was amazing that we got to take over the football locker room after they moved off-campus. Whirlpools, wow! Now I think about how dingy that place was, though it was cool to walk from locker room into a massive, empty football stadium.

You're right--I was thinking FBS. (Not being a football fan, I forgot the distinction.) And you're right--there are probably quite a few FCS schools that still have tracks around their football field.

I think you missed a little detail, I said FCS not FBS. Almost zero (definitely less than ten maybe less than five) of the big schools still have tracks around there football stadiums. This is the next tier down that used to be called 1AA.

I would not suggest I am sure. I would suggest it is highly likely that it is still more than half, but I might be wrong and I am too lazy to google map a 150 stadiums.

The old Hayward was far better than Crystal Palace which I went to many times.

To be honest, being better than Crystal Palace isn't that difficult as it started looking very tired about 30 years ago. That's without even thinking of how awful it is to get to by road.
