Wow! Talk about consistency! I guess there's a bunch of ways one can look at a field event series. Where's this one fit in? Has anyone had six throws over 70', or five over 71', or four over 72' before? Or four over 72' with no fouls in the series?

Hast thou forgotten the likes of Timmermann, Andrei, and Günthör?!

            Alessandro Andrei, 1987 in Viareggio:
            22.19 - 22.37 - 22.72 (WR) - 22.84 (WR) - 22.91 (WR) - 22.74

Back in the day an athlete who was at the meet in Viareggio sent us pictures of the ring and it appeared that it was elevated by a pile of dirt and the landing area would be downhill.

Not surprising considering his next best was 22.17m. But with Primo as president i guess the IAAF would have ratified his marks even if he had thrown from the top of the leaning tower of Pisa.

I think I recall Crouser saying that he had only two throwing sessions prior to the 22m at Des Moines due to missing two months with a hand injury. Judging by his training videos his series yesterday was done under a heavy lifting and training load. Looks stronger and more athletic this year. Will be interesting to see what happens when he rests and peaks a bit. Walsh has been on fire so Prefontaine could be a real show.

It's probably lost now, but Crouser had a live stream of the meet on his Instagram. There is a video of his 22.21 though.
