Boys 4A 400m interesting because Jamal Walton did not win. Ran 47.10 in 2nd. Maybe someone has some color on this one.
Walton was either injured before the meet and aggravated it, or was injured before the meet. He then decided to run the 200, which seemed pretty ill advised, and ran 23+ in last place.
But the Davis time was spectacular -- #3 all-time and, of course, frosh class record. Certainly wish her the best, but it's extraordinarily difficult to maintain or progress when you get that fast, that young -- as in the two on either side of her on the a-t list, Kaylin Whitney and Candace Hill. On the other hand, McLaughin was all-time great already as frosh and soph and she's still progressing

Davis girl set an Age Class World Record 15 bettering the previous one held by Marion Jones (22.76) and just missing Chandice Hills 16 year old record by 5/100ths of a second!!!
